How to Get Started with the Perma-Patch Drum Pump using 6690 ColdFuze:

Inspect Icon
1. Inspect Equipment
Check for any cracked, worn, or damaged parts. Replace if needed.

2. Set Valves
Before connecting hoses, ensure intake valve is fully open and pump regulator is off (“0” psi). Partially open the return valve. Close all other valves, leaving only the intake and return valves open.

3. Start Air Compressor
Power on compressor at 100 PSI. Connect air hose to pump.

4. Circulate Product
Set the drum pump regulator to a pressure between ~20-30 psi. If looking for guidance on specific crack sealants, refer to the pump manual or chart labeled on each drum. Let pump circulate product for ~5 minutes.

5. Dispensing Instructions
After circulating, partially close the return valve to reduce flow. Maintain the current pump pressure as specified in the product
guidelines.

Place wand tip in bucket, open dispensing valve, and start crack sealing when the product flows steadily.

Set pump regulator to 50-60 psi. Let pump circulate product for ~5 minutes.

After circulating, adjust return line valve to 25% open. Keep pump regulator at 50-60 psi.

Place wand tip in bucket, open dispensing valve, and start crack sealing when the product flows steadily.
After Use
Place wand in water bucket to prevent clogging and soak used squeegees in water to avoid product hardening. The pump must be cleaned after each use and/or when switching between Perma-Patch® products. We recommend 2 cleaning methods: 1) Using a water hose; 2) Using a drum of water. Consult your manual for more specific cleaning instructions.
