This submittal package covers Perma-Patch Aqua™, a water-activated, cold-applied asphalt mixture for the permanent repair of asphalt and concrete pavements. Pour, wet, compact, drive.

Perma-Patch Aqua™

  • Water-activated permanent repair. Minimum 1 pint (12 oz) water per 50 lb. Excess water does not impair performance.
  • Open to traffic immediately after compaction. Sets in about 30 minutes, full cure in 24 hours.
  • Applies 0F to 120F, including rain, snow, and standing water.
  • Compacts to about 5% air voids, versus 10 to 15% for typical cold patch.
  • Marshall stability 2,852 lbf. Ideal-CT cracking index 168.6. 99.7% binder retention in boiling-water testing.
  • Bonds permanently to asphalt and concrete.
  • Free of solvents and VOCs.
  • Compact and activate in 3 inch lifts. One-year shelf life, unopened. 50 lb pails or bags.
  • Independent AASHTO-accredited laboratory testing. Conformance statement and comparative data available on request.

How is Perma-Patch Aqua™ different from standard cold patch?

Most cold patch products rely on chemical solvents that evaporate over time to achieve hardness, and many never fully cure. Perma-Patch Aqua is water-activated and cures to a true permanent hardness, performing more like a hot-mix repair than a conventional cold patch. It compacts to about 5% air voids where typical cold patch runs 10 to 15%. The full test data is in the submittal package.
